Rijndri Load of rubbish!!
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Tyreece Hulme One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Sarita Rafferty There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
TheMunkeyBoy I decided to rewatch this after giving it a 6/10. I watched the Ultimate Edition and I'm glad I did. Now it makes sense. It's long - but, it's so much better. Whoever edited it down should be held responsible for the bad ratings. This is a great movie. Please, watch the Ultimate Edition, which is what Zack Snyder intended you to see.
jamesedge-94231 I have never written a review on here before but after my third viewing of this i had to.First, it is not perfect. The pacing is too slow for my liking, Lex Luthor is infuriating & this version of Doomsday was wasted. However, there is a lot to like here. This is a visually stunning movie at times. I loved the armoured batsuit and the whole fight scene. Also, the warehouse scene is the best live action batman combat we've ever had.Lex's plan gets a lot of hatred, but each time i watch this i notice something else about it. Its a great, Lex Luthor plan. It's just a shame the portrayl of Luthor overshadows it.It's not the type of superhero movies people expected or maybe wantes, but that isn't what snyder set out to do. It's just sad that we'll never see all of what he had planned for the DCEU but hopefully with Aquaman and Shazam! Better things are coming.Possibly not the movie we deserved, but a damn good one.
Kirpianuscus I am not a fan of Marvel universe. maybe, I am too old for that and for series I am too selective. the only reason for see the film - the memories from childhood about this super-heroes. the only sin of film - it has the ambition to propose too much. a new perspective, a new hero, a predictable confrontation, a villain from so many other films of same genre. the great virtue - the performances. and the effort to give a nice definition for super hero. in essence, all good point and flaws and mistakes of the film from same genre.
josephbarboza Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is about how Bruce Wayne/Batman (Played by Ben Affleck) is worried about Superman (Played by Henry Cavill) on Earth. So is Lex Luthor, and a whole ton of humanity. During the final confrontation in Man of Steel, many people that Bruce Wayne knew and cared about were killed. Buildings were destroyed, and probably thousands of people were killed. So Batman is angry and ready to take on Superman, but he's getting too violent by himself. He is branding people with the Bat symbol, torturing them, and murdering them. In one scene, Alfred implies to Bruce that Batman is going too far, but he doesn't listen. For the first half, this film was smart, and controlled. I actually liked it, right up until after Batman and Superman had their first fight. Then, the movie just gets really stupid. I could stand some of the flashbacks and dream sequences, even though I just didn't understand some of them. So anyway, Lex Luthor spawns in Doomsday, this huge Kryptonian monster that feeds on energy and cannot be destroyed. Now this is my big problem with BvS. They didn't need a villain. The Prestige? The two magicians fighting each other was enough, they didn't need someone manipulating them to fight. And in the end, one of them is proved as going WAY too far with the whole competition. That was a great movie. This film had a lot of potential, but it sort of lost it near the second half. Special Effects/Choreography/Editing: The film had decent CGI, and handheld cam was used sometimes, but luckily, there was no overuse of shaky cam. 16/20 Plot: Like I said earlier, they didn't need Doomsday, but Lex Luthor influencing the two heroes to fight was a great idea. It just felt like they were trying to set up their future movies with this one, and the second half wasn't very good. It felt more like a Superman movie than a Superman/Batman crossover. 13/20Characters: Ben Affleck portrayed Bruce Wayne very well. You could clearly see the anger and stress built up through his performance. Superman/Clark Kent was okay, there wasn't anything special but he wasn't terrible. Lex Luthor was malevolent, but sometimes kind of forced. Nevertheless, I praise Jesse Eisenberg for his work on this role. 15/20Soundtrack: Anything composed by Hans Zimmer deserves an Oscar. I just loved Lex Luthor's theme and I will definitely listen to it again. A creative take on a theme for a character. 18/20Acting: Some of Cavill's lines felt forced or extreme, but overall, he was fine. Ben Affleck was great, Amy Adams felt like just motivation, just a pointless romance even though it was a little more than that. Jesse Eisenberg was great and menacing, my second favorite DC villain. 16/20Overall rating: 78%
