Cleveronix A different way of telling a story
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Aedonerre I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
thisanant I found this movie by chance and decided to watch it without any expectations cause i was not much familiar with the cast and crew . i was pleasantly surprised , it is so original and manages to feel so real that i was completely engrossed in the story . it is funny , the cast does justice to their roles . not your average fancy looking sci-fi though .
Mihai Toma Darius is chosen along with Arnau to help Jeff write a story in their magazine about a suspicious guy who posted a wanted partner ad regarding nothing less than time travel. They must travel to his location, earn his trust and see where this whole masquerade will get them. Darius manages to get in touch but before the big unveiling of the time machine, she must help the mystery man "borrow" a few missing parts while government agents were closely watching their every move. As expected, the two become close friends but their journey will provide some barriers along the way, where trust will prove to be decisive. It's an interesting story, based on an interesting idea with an unexpected finale. It was enjoyable most of the time, with the imminent boring moments, but it had a tendency to deviate from the main story with uninteresting and sometimes pointless events. I know that it tried to keep the suspense but it seemed more like a lack of ideas rather than a fact done on purpose. As I mentioned above, trust plays a big role in the main characters' relationship but this very trust brought a few doubts of my own regarding their way of perceiving one another (as serious lies made their way into the action). I was pleasantly surprised by its finale which really took me by surprise and thus improving the last impression this film left me.
emma munns It has been half an hour since I finished watching this movie; the daft grin it left plastered on my face is still there and refusing to budge. An utterly beguiling film, with an ending which pleases the romantic fantasist in me no end!! Watch it! I shall say no more!
alanpgini Very slow, but its worth it. Great ending, but the last words of the ending could have been better. These two things helped bring the film down a couple notches. Plus it also didn't stay true to the ad in the paper, which had inspired this story-line. Add in a small plot hole near the end, and a 9 of 10 movie becomes a 7 of 10. But they can be forgiven for these small sins. You've got to give credit to the producers who made this on a 4 thousand dollar budget, and made 4 million out of it. Who am I to nit-pick that kind of success? It's these kind of shoestring budget movies, few as they are in this quality, that makes Hollywood look like an idiots playground. Even with its problems, its well worth the watch, based upon the total package of being a sci-fi love story that works. This came out in 2012, near the same time as "The Adjustment Bureau" film. Sadly, these two didn't start a trend. Like all good films, it makes you think, after the final credits roll. I myself have always said, that regrets are for people with time machines. After all, we were who we were back then. But I'm also a sucker for a good film, or even just a good love story, that tries to answer those regrets.
