RyothChatty ridiculous rating
SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Motompa Go in cold, and you're likely to emerge with your blood boiling. This has to be seen to be believed.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
George Taylor John Woo, Hong Kong Auteur, who couldn't find the right vehicle in America, does a good job here where an Air Force pilot, ed over or otherwise annoyed, steals two nuclear warheads to sell to the highest bidder. His copilot, a man he continually bests and a ranger team up to stop this maniac. Great action scenes and Howie Long has a great scene. Fun movie not to be taken seriously.
batmanreturns-56361 Wow! What a brilliant action movies this is! John Travolta as a bad guy is just priceless! The movie got me gripped right from the start and I couldn't lay my eyes of the TV. Although not much fan of Slater, this was one hell of a ride. Travolta's acting is just brilliant and the ending is even better, just because of a one facial expression Travolta does!! Don't believe me? Watch it. Must see for John Travolta fan's and must see for any action movie fans. Brilliant film and brilliant story... If for no other reason, the excitement on John Travolta's face when he says "I said god damn what a rush!" Overall 10/10 for this brilliant movie.
mansonthismadting John Woo (Director of Face/Off) creates a dazzling array of frantic gun battles and gripping action centred around the duelling pair Slater and Travolta. Where else do you get to see a US Stealth Bomber crash into bits as slow motion shrapnel whips over the camera? The word 'cool' embodies the film's relaxed music, quirky humour, snappy one-liners and Woo's trademark visual candy. 'Broken Arrow', the US Military's term for a missing nuclear warhead, is the motivation of the plot as treachery and duels become the centre of the movie. Slater's desperately attempts to capture his co-pilot's bounty from the wreckage though Travolta is always one step ahead of his hapless former friend. Worth a watch... and then another!
Chance_Boudreaux19 I was rooting for John in this movie to succeed in his plan. I knew that wasn't going to happen but the movie had Christian Slater going up against him. I find Slater to be OK but incredibly bland, the kind of actor who is just there but doesn't add much to the movie in of acting or charisma. Travolta on the other hand is overacting and having so much fun being the bad guy I wanted him to kick Slater's ass and ride off into the sunset. Of course this is a typical 80s/90s action movie so the good guy wins and gets the girl but even though Travlolta's character dies he goes out in style. The movie overall is super cheesy and fun, this is what an action movie should be, not the super serious, wannabe realistic schlock we get today. This is balls to the wall fun directed by John Woo who knows how to make a good, fun action flick and make it so corny its laughable but that is the point. Not as good as Hard Target or Face/Off but damn good, solid 7/10.
