Interesteg What makes it different from others?
Blucher One of the worst movies I've ever seen
Steineded How sad is this?
BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
Madame Monster This was worthy of being a spin off movie? Not The Incredibles?1. The movie has a terrible story. This movie is like every other clique sports movie about the underdog that no one believes in rises to the challenge and wins. If you want to do a story like that fine but if you don't add anything new or creative to it than your wasting my time. 2. The characters are some of the most annoying and insufferable vehicles ever. Dusty's friends are irritating to listen and watch. Plus they are all just stereotypes that have no personal identity or purpose. The bad guy is just like The Turbo bad guy. Which coincidentally came out not to long after this movie. 3. This movie has terrible pacing. Dusty isn't good at racing but gets better with every race, bad guy hatches a plan to stop Dusty, it backfires and Dusty is adored by fans Later rinse and repeat this goes on for fifty percent of the movie.4. The animation isn't as good as other Disney and Pixar movies but it's decent. This movie just feel like a movie they should have played on Disney Channel for little kids to watch. Not a theatrical release which bombed at the box office. Plus it doesn't help there is a sequel and there was an announcement that there would be another sequel to this movie. The only reason this was made was to make money like with Cars and sadly when you think about the money more than the effort of a movie you failed your job.
Writer_Commentary I saw this movie on an airplane once since I figured it would be appropriate. I know that it has some connections to Cars, even if it isn't Pixar. While I heard good things about Cars and bad things about Cars 2, I was wondering how a movie like this would fare. Well, I think that the film was good in the end. It may not be entirely realistic, but it's a cartoon so it really isn't supposed to be. I it that the whole plot of the movie can be a bit obvious and predictable, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. Planes was a good use of time on that long flight. The subplots may not be what you expect, but that makes them all the more better. I hope that you enjoyed the film like I did.
kosmasp While Pixar was able to make movies that were able to appeal to adults too (not only kids), it seems this Disney rip on "Cars" does not care that much about that. Cars itself was one of the weaker Pixar movies, which is not saying that much because it still was above average. This is a bit weaker than that though. We get through the motions more or less without emotion. Kids will or might lap it up as it is. But adults will have issues caring for the main character or anybody else for that matter. It checks every story point it has to, but that is something you notice more like a ing of signs on the road. Show it to the kids, but don't expect to like it yourself
SnoopyStyle Dusty Crophopper is a crop duster plane who has big dreams of racing in the Wings Across the Globe competition. He gets the help of WWII fighter plane Skipper to train for the international race. He isn't quite fast enough and he's afraid of heights. He is the underdog in a race of international speedsters. This suffers from a lack of imagination. Director Klay Hall tells that John Lasseter just figured Planes would exist in the Cars world. It's the laziest of story writing. They have a good selling franchise and they decide to clip on an extension. If they want to include planes in the Cars movie, then I would feel fine about that. This is just recycled bits and pieces of other movies. There isn't one speck of originality in this. The voice work is rather blend and there isn't any particularly funny jokes or hilarious characters. It gets by solely with its stylistic association with Cars.
