Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
Borgarkeri A bit overrated, but still an amazing film
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Moviefreak I watched Banshee Chapter because the topic had my interest. Actually, MK ultra is a real experiment that was done between years of 1953 and 1973. The story-line of the movie was very clear and easy to follow, but there were really bad mistakes of the movie. They were unreasonable, and not even related to the stupidity of any character. These mistakes made the movie unrealistic. There were also some stuff left unexplained at the end of the movie, this also made it unrealistic. Even though, I was really captured by the movie and its jump scares. Some scenes were so tense that I knew a few jump scares before coming. Though, they still made me jump. If it was also realistic in reasonable consideration, I would find the movie much better. What I can say is that watch it if you are interested in the subject matter of the movie and if you like creepy stuff. And watch it as a creepy thriller movie. Otherwise, watching the movie would be a waste of time for you.
Lars Bear A movie about government-sanctioned experiments with psychotropic drugs, and the effects they had on the victims, could be interesting. If the actual events were fictionalized into something with supernatural elements, that also could work, as could a movie that exploited a presumed otherworldly origin for short-wave "numbers stations." As other reviewers have noted, however, Banshee's film-makers seem to have taken a jumble of such plot elements that might have worked on their own, and thrown them together in a way that just comes across as messy. Although the acting is competent, the characters lack any sense of motivation, and they do not appear to be changed in any way by the bizarre events that involve them. By the end of the movie everything is as it was at the start, so we might as well not have bothered with any of it.Not the worst movie I've seen, by any means, but not particularly engaging. After the first thirty minutes I wanted it to stop.
gennyskinner I definitely wasn't prepared for how terrifying I found this film, from start to finish. I found the switch from the journalists personal footage type to the CIA 'found footage' incredibly effective at sending my heart rate through the roof in a Pavlovian conditioning type response ha ha, and the film holds out that little bit extra to build suspense like no film I've watched in a while! I think horror fans have to watch a lot of substandard films to find the gems that really deliver those jump out your chair screaming moments and for me this was one of them!! Left me feeling so on edge I made my boyfriend come into the bathroom with me and then screamed when I saw his reflection in the mirror. Do not watch alone! Yes, the storyline is a little too multi-directional at times but this doesn't detract from the scares all. If you're looking for something to get your adrenal glands going, this is the one!
HorrorBuff235 It is quite rare nowadays to find a horror film that is genuinely scary and, although others may disagree, I was pleased to find that this was. I stumbled across it when I was home alone and couldn't find anything else to watch. I came away from the film feeling intensely creeped out with that song at the end credits stuck on repeat in my head. The premise is loosely based around the covert MK Ultra human trials carried out in the late 60's early 70's by the CIA - For more information Google Project MK Ultra. Our story follows journalist Anne Rowe as she tries to find out what happened to her friend who disappeared while researching material for his book on Project MK Ultra. I won't go into more detail as I don't want to spoil it for anyone who may read this. I would definitely recommend this film to someone else as I enjoyed it immensely. In fact, I have seen it 3 times now and it still creeps me out!
