Tetrady not as good as all the hype
GazerRise Fantastic!
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Kirpianuscus its first virtue - it is a justice act to a splendid novel. because it translate, in right manner, the darkness, the storm of emotions, the force of meets between Cate and Headcliff in the inspired manner. the fight between them, the high tension, the violent desire for who the words are only masks are present in this special adaptation. the second virtue - Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes. sure, the chemistry is an important ingredient but, more important, remains the sculpting silence. each scene is electrified. the dialogue is the clash who you imagine when you read the book. and this does it different by the other adaptations. maybe, not better. but different. and this could be seen as a form of justice act .
SnoopyStyle New tenant Lockwood visits the landlord. He finds Heathcliff (Ralph Fiennes) and others in a farmhouse on Wuthering Heights. Thirty years before, Mr Earnshaw brought back homeless gypsy Heathcliff. The son Hindley mistreats Heathcliff. After father's death, Hindley Earnshaw (Jeremy Northam) becomes the master of the estate with Heathcliff as their lowly servant. Heathcliff and Cathy Earnshaw (Juliette Binoche) fall in love. This version of the Emily Brontë novel is most notable for Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes early in their careers. I love both actors and they are quite charismatic. This has the brooding tones and it has the dirty gloom. However it may be taking on too much. It feels more like a highlight reel of a literary classic. The flow is off and it feels rushed. It feels a little disted.
Desertman84 Peter Kosminksy directed this faithful adaptation of the Emily Bronte classic entitled,Wuthering Heights. It features Juliette Binoche,Ralph Fiennes and Janet McTeer.Set against the stark beauty of the English moor, the mysterious gypsy boy Heathcliff, adopted by the Earnshaw family, discovers his soul mate in his stepsister Cathy. Also,he is a wanderer. He is looked down upon by his stepbrothers and becomes a servant. He is further crushed when Cathy, the love of his life, marries another man since to marry a servant would be the ultimate in humiliation for her. Then,he disappears for a number a years but then returns, revenge and hatred for Cathy's family the only thing on his mind. Also,it includes the oft-omitted second generation story of the children of Cathy, Hindley and Heathcliff.Peter Kosminsky's Wuthering Heights is a drone, depressing, and exhaustively revolting excuse for entertainment. But still, the performance of Ralph Fiennes as the role of Heathcliff is worth nothing since it is praise worthy. No wonder it opened up doors for Fiennes to play Amon Göth in Schindler's List. American director Steven Spielberg claimed he liked him for Göth because of his "dark sexuality" as evidenced in this movie.
aphrodisiaciix This movie is a waste of time and money for both the makers and the audiences, not to mention, a waste of talents on such big movie stars as Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche. The characters are shallow and unable to demonstrate their complex emotion. Their relationships were never really get developed properly in a race-against-time script that compounding with the poor direction which certainly resulting in a horrible film that did not do justice to the book! Emily Bronte would definitely have reacted strongly against this travesty of literature. The inexperienced director (a small time TV-movie director) is inadequate for such a complex story. The poor script is insufficient for characters development. The cast is completely wrong for their parts. This must be a career low point for both Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche.
