Devil's Due Audience Reviews 5p4229

Lucybespro It is a performances centric movie
ChampDavSlim The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Patience Watson One of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.
Stevieboy666 When a newly wed young couple accept an invitation to a club from a very suspicious looking taxi driver whilst on their honeymoon they fall prey to some unclear Satanic cult & she then becomes pregnant with the Devil's child. There's a lesson to be learned! This is basically a Rosemary's Baby clone but for the modern age. Filmed in the found footage style, a sub genre that has been frankly done to death, and although I felt that it wasn't entirely necessary for this movie they did at least do a reasonable job. Acting is good & there are a few decent special effects thrown in but on the downside it is fairly slow for most part, the shaky camera work does become annoying at times & plot wise it doesn't offer much.
Mike LeMar This could've been rated higher had it not been for the lame tangent it goes off on at the beginning after its cool/interesting premise. The couple goes to a fortune teller who determines the main girl's born from death, which really freaks her out and repels her to where she continues their walk around town not being able to get it off her mind. I thought, "Interesting. So there's something about her." Then, they go to a club where they get drugged so that they have a seance done on them to make her have a satanic baby. All in all, the rest of the movie had very quality suspense and interesting scenes, which is why I didn't rate it lower, but why hit the audience with an initial scene in a fortune teller's office when the rest of the movie really has nothing to do with that? Once the seance happened, I thought, "Oh, so this has nothing to do with her being born from death, which would've been a lot more interesting and cooler." The problem turns out NOT to be ALREADY her, it BECOMES her because of the SEANCE...and really, it's actually the evil group who keeps performing it on couples. Also, during a house party, a little girl wouldn't keep prowling around a pitch-black upper floor on her own with her camera in search of someone if she wasn't able to get her to respond by calling her from the stairs. Get real.
Patrick Benko First off, this movie is total garbage.Acting: The female, Allison Miller is not a great actress but she is better than Zack Gilford. How does he have a job? Allison Miller was okay, but Zack Gilford is cheesy, and is not believable. Acting I would give a 2 out of 10.PLOT: Couple gets married, storybook wedding, go on honeymoon, get drunk, blackout, get kidnapped in Santa Domingo, and then get pregnant with Satans child. Cliché to say the least. I am not a religious person. You do not need religion to be a good person, if you do then you are a shallow person. I don't need religion to know right from wrong, I know right from wrong because I am human and I use my brain. TO get that out of the way, this movie tries to bank off superstitious religious zealots. It tries to push that "God vs Satan" theme in your face, with a mix of exorcism and poltergeist, hoping the overly religious people watch this movie thinking oh boy I better pray more, oh boy I better fast, oh boy I better read scripture more - NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! Just because YOU ARE NOT RELIGIOUS DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL GIVE BIRTH TO SATAN'S CHILD!!! IF YOU BELIEVE THAT THEN YOU ARE STUPID!! So PLot Gets 0 out 10Found Footage: Hasn't this been done before? Like a million times... and do they ever get good ratings or done right? NO! Found Footage has become a cliché, and they are so overdone and completely stupid When is Hollywood going to realize found footage DOES NOT WORK! We want actual cinematography, we want good camera footage and not shaky like someone is following around some actors with a camera, so Found Footage is bad, every single movie, however, this one is even worse than the normal Found Footage garbage. So once again 0 out of 10Conclusion: Do not waste your time with this one. An Adam Sandler movie might be a better fit, and thats not saying a lot. If you are in the mood for a horror movie then you are better off watching a classic horror movie like Steven King or something.THIS MOVIE SUCKS!!!!!YOU ARE BETTER OFF SCRATCHING OUT YOUR EYEBALLS!!WORSE MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!! ALMOST AS SCARY AS KIRK CAMERON SAVES Christmas MOVIE!!!!! (Maybe not that bad, but pretty close!!!) Watch something that is educational or intelligently done, this movie is neither!!!I Don't PRAY SO IM GONNA HAVE SATAN'S BABY!!!!STUPID!!!
indiedavid Sometimes really bad concepts/films get funded by a fluke. However, they rarely get a distribution deal. Somehow, this horrible, amateur piece of crap managed to achieve both tasks. The cinematography is by far, the worst I have ever seen in a film with a budget over $100k. I felt embarrassed for everybody involved in this project but especially for the cast. They made a really good effort and I can only presume they protested against the contrived dialogue and forced scenarios where they had to ad lib but the Director must have been a jackass and didn't listen to them. Please don't encourage the cable networks to buy other pieces of crap like "Devil's Due" by watching it. I turned it off after 45 minutes due to the dizziness caused by the horrible camera work.
