GetPapa Far from Perfect, Far from Terrible
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
Catherina If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Cassandra Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
TownRootGuy ... especially if you were a Bond fan back in the 70's. But not like, you know, a super uptight one. This has fantastic eye candy, naked eye candy, some good cast AND if you like the king of spies, wait until you see the queen. This is not a great movie but it is worth seeing at least once. I can watch this every 7 - 10 years.
Mynameisroman Just watched it the first time and must say i expected worse. the plot is very simple and thin. two straight men stuck on a boat with only gay man. of couse the main character will find a straight girl on board and fall in love... everything is very predictable. a few of the jokes work but not many. i thing you must see it in the theater with lots of children around who giggle at any joke so laugh with them but watching it at home... well, its hard to give this movie a rating. some stuff might be a 6/10 but there are a lot of very bad jokes in there that pulls the whole movie down to a 5/10. with a better script or at least leaving the bad jokes out it could be at least a mediocre movie.
Lisle45 Film24 broadcast this film last night and the synopsis gave the impression that it was going to be a "Birdcage" afloat. I have never felt so moved as to write a review and was heartened to see that most other reviewers thought this was an appalling film.I switched off just before the part where the sidekick mistakenly hops into bed with the trainer, thank goodness by all s as another reviewer describes the remainder of the scene and it was even worse that I suspected it would be. With hindsight, I cannot believe I watched for 45 minutes.OK, so I'm neither teenage of male so perhaps I shouldn't have been watching this in the first place but really there is absolutely nothing to redeem this film in any way that could not be otherwise fulfilled by the sort of film that doesn't have a script at all.I really must to read IMDb BEFORE I watch films in the future.
cybercuke Hey, it sure wasn't Masterpiece Theatre but I laughed so hard I cracked a rib. TONS of low-brow humor! Every offensive stereotype in the book. Not a "Politically Correct" moment in the whole freakin' movie. I loved it! Very much in the spirit of all those old early-eighties sex comedies. Two guys, one just out of a bad relationship and his obnoxious, oversexed best pal, try to get away on a singles cruise. They end up insulting their travel agent who sends them on a gay cruise out of spite.(Don't worry; lots of hot chicks show up anyhow!) It's one part "Birdcage" mixed with two parts "Porky's".If you're into comedies of manners, you might wanna take a on this one. But if you're sick of over-polished, politically correct crap, you might want to check it out.
