Thoroughbreds Audience Reviews 1n335t

Perry Kate Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Ogosmith Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Johannesnk I'm not sure this movie classifies as a comedy film. It's a light movie, but it's more serious than funny if you ask me. I really love this indie movie, and I watched it because of Anya Taylor-Joy. She did phenomenal and so did Olivia Cooke.More indie films like this! (:
kz917-1 What an odd little movie.I was drawn to seeing this film as it was Anton Yelchin's last film.Teen angst through an interesting lens. What is a life worth? Could you kill someone? With an ending I'm not sure I saw coming, both actresses did a bang up job of keeping me on my toes.Creep level - Expert! Worth a view.
latinfineart Two young women, nearly completely lacking any sort of redeeming qualities, resort to some very stupid, non visionary, boring bits of tomfoolery. The only redeeming quality this film had was Anton's performance, the step dad's genuinely convincing creepiness, and black hearted attitude, and a few of the sets. Other than that, there is not much to like here. The direction was fairly competent. But, the story was poorly executed, and the writing was typical Hollywood these days, written for adolescents. Nothing to challenge the imagination or intellect. In the end, this was supposed to be a diabolical conclusion. It was more like, who cares? I could see this coming from eight miles away. Boring. Vanilla.
CitizenKaneAAAAA Two minors, thoroughbreds but different kind of stallion, one is weird (antisocial & intelligent but let's just say weird), one is reckless and emotional. together, they're an explosion of characters that we can't relate but somehow understood. The film played like one of those 90s noir films, it started with one formula but ended up run from it but never too far, and never really give two cents about moral message, that's why people who said that this film is a critic towards the privilege people really couldn't find any specific detail for that purpose, the filmmaker did made fun of the upper class but only for fun, because it's supposed to be a fun film about characters. and what a character Amanda is, it's rare to portray an antisocial person without making them as a serial killer. this film is surprisingly meticulous and unique without being pretentious.
