The Luck of the Irish Audience Reviews 35157

Kailansorac Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
Ortiz Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
bosmobubble This movie was an emoitonal rollercoaster from start to finish. When Kyle found out he was a leprechaun, I was moved to tears, it was just so accurate to what leprechaun youth these days have to go through. It's great to see more leprechaun representation in modern media. All the Irish references were spot on, from our love of corned beef to the compulisve, uncontrollable dancing that takes place whenever our pointy ears pick up the melody of a reel or a jig. It was wonderful to see so many talented musicians involved in this production, when Reilly started playing his tin whistle to the side like a wooden flute, it was so clear to see how much experience he had playing trad music. The only issue I see with tis movie, is the fact that the leprechaun magic was completely unrealistic. In real life, leprechauns are much more powerful. Overall, a great film suitable for any spud-loving family. Our cllan gathers every St.Paddy's day to watch this timeless classic. Top o' the mornin to ye boyyos, may the blood in yer veins flow as green as the emerald isle.
robf-13 This has got to be one of the worst movies I've ever watched. I could barely sit through it, but out of fairness, since I new I had to mention how bad it was on here, I did. Lots of bad acting, with worse acting from the lesser qualified "actors" involved, this movie is pretty damn bad. Any of the people in this movie's comments that days its even approaching 'okay' is lying out their rear. It was pathetic, it hurt me to even watch. I feel embarrassed for the couple normally decent actors involved. I realize I'm an adult, but I haven't forgotten the kid/teen movies I watched when I was younger. I mean we had lots of cheesy flicks, sure, but this wasn't even cheese, it was crap, like post-digestion cheese after its sat around in ones stomach for 48 hours and is ready to be expelled. You're better off missing this, with its horrific (even for 2001) blue screen special effects. Cliché for Disney plot, and sub par acting.Want me to describe this flick in one line? Move along, there's nothing to see here... (envision a cop trying to hide the dead body under the sheet...thats this film). Intentionally subjecting yourself to this film is an absurd self-flagellation that everyone should avoid if at all possible. If it is for your kid, go rent them Zapped or The Explorers. If you require something of Irish for your sustenance go for Darby O'Gill and the Little People, you'll thank yourself for missing this.
Shifty Eyez I really liked this movie as I am from an Irish background I know the jokes and comments that were put into this movie. The movie clearly outlines what a true Irish man is like. Ryan Merrimans acting was sensational and he knew how to do the accent which was quite surprising. The movie is very creative and a feel good movie for all. The plot for this movie was very good and the cast were perfectly fit. The movie also has a good morale to it. The movie was in genre funny, sad and dramatic all rolled in one it is a significant movie for all. I recommend watching this movie as it is an exciting movie to watch
MovieAddict2016 Or is it "preserve"? Don't see this awful, straight-to-Disney-Channel-movie, or you will be shouting in pain when it is over. Now, I will take you behind the minds of the writers:I can just see some guys in a room, coffee in hand, thinking of something to put in this movie. BRAINSTORMER 1 What characters should we use?The Irish-American "duh?" generation teen. The token black kid (no racist comment intended - I took that statement from the front cover of some movie I saw at the rental store!). Your stereotypical Irish Grandfather. (Aye!) Hokey effects and a dumb plot thought of in a five minute brainstorming session. With that in mind, you've got the outline for the film. Next, let's think what the writers were thinking of in mind of a director:McG Steven Spielberg Steven Seagal The Wachowski Brothers Someone With No Talent (Well, That Negatives McG and Seagal!) Someone With Talent (That negatives the rest)So what are we left with? NO ONE, which is who I would think WAS behind this movie. No one. That's how awful it is.This is low 100 material, I'm telling you. All it needs is 600 votes....1/5 stars -John Ulmer
