Exorcism: The Possession of Gail Bowers Audience Reviews 3c6p52

Ploydsge just watch it!
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Claire Dunne One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Mehdi Hoffman There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
sjculb3 This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I bought it based on the various reviews here on IMDb stating "its not that bad". Ladies and Gentlemen, I am here to tell you, yes it IS that bad.The script is poorly and childishly written. Most of the movie is shot in the interior of a house and a garage (yes that's right, a garage!). One reviewer says that the language isn't as bad as a few dramas they have watched (uhm, what dramas have a woman screaming about A---l S-x?). The acting ranges from poor to downright laughable.Yes, I get the point. This movie is supposed to be a B movie or even a C movie. The writer/director is well known for his collection of bad movies (notice how nearly ALL of them barely have more than 1 or 2 stars). Sure its supposed to be bad, silly with a bit of nudity thrown in.The problem is that nobody even tried to make it work. The special effects and the "scares" are halfway decent but in the end it seems like this direct to DVD film was meant to tantalize the viewer with an exciting box cover and then rip them off.
Ogrishel This kind of exorcism movie makes you realize that anything else than "The Exorcist (1973)" is a crap, not just for the story or the acting, but for the ambiance of the film. Nothing compares to the old 70s horror movies."The Exorcist" makes any other movie look like a bad remake of it and causes disgust in the eye of the viewer.About Gail's exorcism is nothing much to say. Maybe the fact that she looks to be aware of being possessed and enjoys it every second. She's more like a drunk slut exposing herself to males during blackouts and wakes then up in embarrassment. When possessed Regan MacNeil exposed herself in "The Exorcist" it was anything but attractive, sexy or even obscene. It was probably the most scary part of the movie. I can't to have been scared by Gail Bowers putting her hand in her panties.3 out of 10 for the pantie scene.
rwprod2002 I can't believe people did not like this movie. It had its share of scary moments, above average acting, and the story line flowed pretty well. 4.0 at its current rating on IMDb as I'm writing this comment, is much too low for this movie, and I would encourage anyone that has not seen this movie to check it out. Oh and did I mention the girls in this flick are totally hot. Please don't be fooled by these people that are more or less dissing this movie. I know a few people that enjoyed this much more then The Exorcism of Emily Rose (which is another way underrated horror/Drama movie) I found this movie at my local Hollywood Video store, and hopefully you won't have too much trouble finding it. With so many horrible b rated movies out there crowding the video shelf, you won't be to disappointed by picking this one up.
yuri_bear Well, I just saw this movie in the comforts of my own living room, and I was glad I didn't see this one in the theater.WHY: The acting of most cast was mediocre at best. The special effects could have been a lot better, as for the C.G.I. its non-existent and as for the sound, cinematography and make-up they are all under the normal standard. If you like B-movies this would get a 6 from me, however for what I expected from this movie it gets a 5-.Quality is in the eye of the beholder.I would not recommend this one to my friends. There's only one way to convince your self about this movie and that's to go see it or rent it a the video store.Greetzz yuribear
