Commander in Chief Audience Reviews 1d2h

GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Lucia Ayala It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Aspen Orson There is definitely an excellent idea hidden in the background of the film. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find it.
Phil-151 Boy, am I late to this party! It looks like the last reviews were written in late 2006 or early 2007.I just finished watching all 18 episodes on Netflix. I love this show!! The plot lines were riveting and well acted. An impressive creation by Rod Lurie.I am so disappointed that it was canceled after the first season. The end of season one beautifully prepared us for the impending Presidential campaign between Mackenzie Allen (Geena Davis) and Nathan Templeton (Donald Sutherland). I'm sure it would have been great TV drama.I don't know whether ABC pulled the series for lack of ratings or political pressure, but it was a great loss for the audience.
pierrecoutu February 24th 2007; 02:52 AM. WOW ! Am I impressed ? You bet !!My name is Pierre Coutu, 46 years old, French Canadian, Montreal. Two weeks ago, a "coincidence" brought me to listen to your marvelous TV series that started on a French channel here in Montreal. I almost never watch TV since about 4 years now, because of the way this medium keep on transmitting the perception that life not only is difficult but furthermore that it is normal to be this way. I had never heard of your series before this date. I've seen 12 episodes so far. The last one being the one regarding the submarine crisis near the coast of Korea. What a delight this series. How refreshing. It is a wonderful symbol reflecting the profound evolution our societies worldwide are going through right now (and specifically the American one, of course). A female American President ! Such an idea would probably have never been possible even to be submitted to the TV networks prior to the 1990's. Maybe even before "y2k".But more than that, you had the gut to present not only a woman as president, but one that has the ability to lead her team and her presidency with "Comion", "Honesty", "Sincerity" and plenty of other "REAL HUMAN" nobles attributes and still, being capable of facing realistic events with plausible conclusions. It is obvious that a big part of the US citizens (as well as Canadians, of course) will turn this idea as, at best, nothing else than purely fictional and probably even ridiculous. But that is not important. Those people are the same as all the others of their kind whom, throughout history, have shown skepticism and incredulity regarding new ideas that, more often than they probably realize, have found their way to manifest in "reality".I, personally, am SURE that this type of idea will not only manifest in reality but will do so probably much quicker than most people might presently expect. the fall of the Berlin wall. Who would have predict this MAJOR international and HUMAN event, even one month before it happened ?So, I wanted to send you these comments to invite you to keep on your beautiful work of "idealistic point of view". These are the best "weapons" that humanity should use to bring people to open up their minds to new ways of living that would be so much more harmonious for all humanity.Once again, Congratulations !!!Pierre Coutu [email protected]
Syl Okay, I wasn't much of a fan as I should have been. I think it's because dramas on television today have become more actor/actress driven than the writing etc. Anyway, this show should have been an easy slam dunk for the network who was known to making interesting decisions. First, Oscar Winner Geena Davis as a likable Vice President who becomes President was a great casting call. She was believable in the role. Second, the other cast were equally perfect like Kyle Secor as the First Husband and Donald Sutherland as the President's friend and foe. I don't understand why the West Wing was such a hit but not this show. People were tuning in to see this show regularly. I guess the network didn't want the controversy of a female president. Think Hilary Rodham Clinton! Maybe they felt that women should just be resigned to playing mothers and wives like at Desperate Housewives or lovesick surgeons on Grey's Anatomy. This cancellation is appalling and the network executives should be ashamed of themselves for letting one of the good shows go.
uniqueabba I have to say, I am absolutely hooked on this programme! What a fantastic President! Oh boy the USA needs a woman president! Geena Davis is absolutely perfect and the cast are excellent! The West Wing sometimes was a bit too complex and the dialogue was made at a 100 miles an hour it was hard to keep up. This show is far better, is more realistic, has all ethnic minorities in respected places, gay men, nice people and all the make up of the USA. She is seen as a little gem by her staff, her staff are all there because of their strengths not by being a friend of a friend who has a military corporation like this current president has. This current US president simply looks after his friends, causes conflicts and war to keep his friends paid.A woman president would think twice about sending sons and daughters into illegal wars like the current US president has done.Roll on Hillary Clinton, I hope she watches this programme, she could learn a lot from this excellent show!
