Kirandeep Yoder The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
Cody One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
alindsay-al This attempt at rebooting the transporter franchise has been out for a few years now and nothing has been heard from it, probably because it is awful. The premise of the film sees the transporter forced into working a job because his estranged father is kidnapped. Ed skein plays the transporter in this film and he is a decent actor, I saw this in deadpool but in this film he is bad. He just doesn't fit the role and I didn't care about his character at all. There was just no charisma or life to his performance to help drag this film. Ray stevens plays his father in the film and I really didn't care about there relationship at all, he came across as pretty annoying and whiny which didn't help. All the other companions and villains in the film were garbage with no interesting things about them at all. The story in the film is so overcomplicated and ridiculous that you will lose track of what's going on or why you should even care. The script is cheesy and boring in all the wrong ways, nothing is funny and nothing brings out the drama so why should you care. The style has some okay action scenes but there is also some action scenes that are stupidly elaborate and awkward that you are questioning what you are watching. Overall this film is definitely not worth a watch unless you like awful action films.
kosmasp Now there are many things wrong with this attempt to bring new life into the Transporter series. Though I never it having any problems with Statham in the main role-at least not as huge problems as this one has by trying to create a Transporter universe. Something the Bourne universe did better with Jeremy Renner and still fell flat on their noses/backs/behinds or whatever you want to call it.There is Ray S. who is completely wasted in this (no pun intended), there is misogyny aplenty and just stupid and mean. And there is also so many clichés and ridiculous holes in the "plot" (if you want to call it that), that it almost physically hurts watching. On the other side (the "good" one), you do have certain stunts and action scenes that kind of deliver what the movie promised. But all is let down by really bad acting, dumb "twists" (you really have to be blind and deaf not to see them coming) and an overall dread (PG-13) feeling ... steer clear! Pun intended!
michael-3204 This competent attempt to reboot (or refuel, as it were) the "Transporter" franchise finds Ed Skrein in the unenviable position of trying to replace Jason Statham, which is basically impossible. Still, Skrein does fine with the role and he's more than ably assisted by Ray Stevenson as Transporter Dad. In fact, the only real chemistry generated between any of the cast is between Skrein and Stevenson, who have an easy, laconic rapport and manage to add sparkle to relatively mundane dialogue. They are a more engaging pair than, say, Harrison Ford and Shia Le Beouf in their Indiana Jones pairing. The rest of the cast is stuck playing cardboard femme fatales and generic bad guys, mainly of the Eastern European or Russian variety. This is produced and co-written by Luc Besson, who has this kind of film down to a science, for better and for worse. There isn't much that is new and exciting here -- director Camille Delamarre doesn't really add anything obvious to the mix, but certainly keeps things moving. There are a couple of good action set-pieces, in particular a car chase (one of many, of course) that involves a roundabout and fire hydrants, and a hallway fight (one of many, of course) between two rows of safety deposit boxes. There is not a lot else that made me sit up and take notice, but the nicely shot, pretty French Riviera scenery and twisty plot was engaging enough to make this a perfectly reasonable way to spend 90 minutes.
Poster_lamp The title says it all really, but I'll expand a little. I find that the first half is not that bad. In between all the jerking off of Audi, there's actually some decent action scenes. But seriously, the first half looks almost like an Audi commercial. There's some attempt at bonding between Frank and his father that had potential, but was only done half-heartily. Not unlike most of the movie. There are some clear nods to the Statham movies, but it ends up feeling like a discount rip off. Or the poor mans transporter. Ed Skrein is not the guy. His attempt at humor doesn't hit and his tough guy attitude isn't convincing enough. Nothing against Ed Skrein, though. He was just miscast. That could probably be a result of the fact that Jason Statham IS the transporter, though. After the midpoint, the movie declined. The story fell apart, and the action felt more shallow. It somehow turned into a discount Quantum of Solace. And I don't have to tell you what that means. To summarize. If you want a good action flick, watch something else, like the rock, or the original transporters. If you're a die hard transporter fan, watch this but prepare for disappointment.
