FrogGlace In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Gary The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
torstensonjohn Compelling, gripping, magnetic characters, invested, these are words that can only best describe this film in it's entirety. Ric Roman Waugh brings this based on true events story to life and gives the audience a superb ride. Dwayne Johnson has strongly developed his acting ability as Business owner and family man John Matthews. The performance is well played out and shows good emotion and raw talent. In a ing role Jon Bernthal (Shane-Walking Dead) portrays an ex con Daniel James who gets wrapped back into the life through developments of John's actions. These two actors played terrific off one another. Susan Sarandon's character of a high no BS politician with an agenda is done with vigor and tenacity. The surprise here is a ing role by Barry pepper as an FBI agent who comes across hard but fair and plays rather compelling to the plot line. This film truly is a testament as to just how far a person will go when it comes to family and the risks they are willing to take.
meliz People seem more interested in his voice and discussing if the character playing his son was his real son, and how that came to be.Take a look at takepart.com/snitch - for me as a non US citizen I sort of got the feeling that the law is a bit unjust to some people. I am not saying there should not be taken action on those doing a criminal offense. But like the son in this movie, who received an package with a tracking device and could get 10 years for that. Is this how it really works, and how is that preventive and also how is that sentence justified?Just saying.Movie wasn't a top notch one, if we are to discuss that fact, but it was better than Peter Pan (that made me so sleepy).OK acting here and there, so I don't feel like I wasted my time seeing it.
Paul Magne Haakonsen "Snitch" was actually a nice change of the usual movies that you see from Dwayne Johnson. So whether or not you enjoy that change is, of course, a matter of personal preference. I enjoyed it, because it was a step away from the usual one-man-takes-down-a-whole-army-type of movies that he makes. And it is also the type of movie that shows that Mr. Johnson has a talent for acting and not just portraying muscular action hero types. So thumbs up for that. The story is about a man being forced to work for the DEA in order to take down a Mexican drug smuggling cartel in order to reduce the sentenced time of incarceration for his son.Story-wise, then the movie was easy to follow and progressed at a great, constant pace. It was a shame, though, that the movie really didn't throw any surprises to knock over the audience, and as such, the movie was a bit too streamlined and predictable.Alongside Dwayne Johnson, then "Snitch" did have some great names to the cast list. Especially Barry Pepper stands out in this movie, as he was so well-cast for that particular role, not to mention having a great appearance going on with that look. But also Jon Bernthal and Susan Sarandon were doing great jobs with their given roles. It was a shame that Benjamin Bratt didn't have a bigger role, because he is always great in his movies."Snitch" is a nice and entertaining movie that is well worth watching, for both fans of Dwayne Johnson and for people who enjoy an action-thriller with a proper storyline.
CMTiago Snitch is a project in which Dwayne Johnson isn't an unstoppable kick ass hero. In fact the movie goes a long way to portray his character as a simple working man that finds himself in a world he doesn't necessarily belong in order to save his teenage son Jason from going to prison. I think that Johnson showcased his talent as an actor, proving that he has what it takes to sell dramatic tension to the audience. The action is a little toned down in this movie to a lesser extent, but then again I believe that the focal point of the movie was the characters and their motivations. Alongside The Rock, Jon Bernthal brings his usual intensity to Daniel James, the man who introduces John Matthews (Johnson) to the the drug world, and Susan Sarandon is good in a small part. Overall Snitch is a surprisingly well constructed movie that proves that The Rock can do drama and be quite good at it. It is very much worth a look.Rating 7/10
