Ehirerapp Waste of time
Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Connianatu How wonderful it is to see this fine actress carry a film and carry it so beautifully.
Madilyn Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.
oiltrader Take the movie for what it is... good plain old entertainment. The reviews by most are far too critical. This movie was made to be enjoyed in front of a warm fire, a glass of red and a hint of "who the hell really cares".It's fast paced and a good ride with fun plot twists along the way. You'll totally have fun and a few wry smiles along the way.
NiWi In one sentence, I'd say this film was a "absolutely Brilliant delivery and reliable plot twist"When they say 'keep them guessing', this film will officially come up in my memory, because it send me on sooooo many curves and circles. But without spoiling, the ending was by far the biggest circle out of the whole film.I must it I did slightly find it interesting to see John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in the same movie. Both our there performances were great, can't say the same for the female protagonist, her acting was flat and just there as a place holder.I enjoyed this film and the only think that made me take away a star is the constant inappropriate comments in the beginning.(Could have done without)
Python Hyena Basic (2003): Dir: John McTiernan / Cast: John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Connie Nielsen, Taye Diggs, Giovanni Ribisi: Thriller about truth that constantly jerks viewers around. Mirrors the superior Courage Under Fire where characters are questioned with regards to the death of another. Plot regards the death of numerous army recruits including their ruthless commander played by Samuel L. Jackson. John Travolta is called upon to question a witness who may be guilty of murder and he is assisted by the Army's official investigating officer played by Connie Nielsen. A battle of the sexes follows before they respect each other but the plot is reduced to mindless clichés, repetitious storytelling and a cheat ending. Skilled directing by John McTiernan who has made better films such as The Hunt for Red October and Die Hard. Too juvenile for Travolta and Jackson is reciting old roles where he yells a lot. Thankfully we can view both actors giving far superior performances in Pulp Fiction, a film I recommend over this one. Nielsen plays an embarrassing ill tempered officer whose job is to debate Travolta and then kiss and make up at the film's convenience. Taye Diggs plays an abused recruit. His career will likely be abused after this film. Giovanni Ribisi plays a Lieutenant but he has done better roles in superior films. Theme gives way to basic idiocy. Score: 2 / 10
adi_2002 Sergeant West (Samuel L. Jackson) is ruthless with his soldiers, very experienced, powerful, dominator and is aware the fact that its slightly out of yarn. While on a training a storm hits the unexpected and thus they are forced to land in middle of the jungle. Everything goes wrong and ends with Sgt and cadets to kill each other but two manage to survive, one is in the hospital and the other detained for questioning. Officer Hardy (John Travolta) is sent to interrogate the soldier and to find out what really happened that night and is helped by Colonel Osbourne. For this kind is well thought out but has small glitches with the sudden twists of the situation but also an exciting moment when we find true soldier Dunbar race. Also note the good performances from John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson and Giovanni Ribisi.
