TrueJoshNight Truly Dreadful Film
Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to what it was like to watch it for the first time.
sneaguv This is not a "horse opera" or a movie about horses. It's a movie about teenager problems, strong determination to solve them, guided by unconditional love, and desire to live far away of civilization, retreating to lick wounds. It felt like ameri-indians' drama at a certain moment. With the same love for nature, animals and harmony of living among them. Did Annie fall in love with Tom or with nature, serenity, calm (everything that Redford symbolized), far far away of her trepidant life? I guess we'll never know. I guess the horse was just a pretext, and what healed Grace was understanding the beauty of a certain way of living. In the end, the hypnotic nature was ripped apart in Annie's soul by Robert's appearance, symbolizing city lights' allure. It is simply a beautiful movie about nature and nature healing.
marilynnewman I'd say, that it was an interesting movie, I'm pretty sure horse whispering doesn't work. Horses don't pay much attention unless you shout at them. Then they can get offended or saddened, depending on their personality. The scenery is gorgeous, the people work well together. The script is great. But it does fall a little short on the horse angle. But since most people know very little about horses, it won't ruin it, it didn't even ruin it for me. I just said, "Ok, they don't know what they're talking about here." I can't emphasize enough about the scenery. Awesome, just awesome.
nzswanny The Horse Whisperer is an epic drama about a mother who wants to help her child's horse who was injured in an accident, so she finds a farmer called a horse whisperer in order to heal the horse's soul. The mother and the child then stay on the farm while the horse is healed, and on the way the mother experiences the beauty and ion of the country life. The plot doesn't sound too good, no. But you'll be surprised how well the plot is handled in the film.I'm not a fan of sentimentality, but I think this film used it really well. It crafted itself out of sentimentality, yet it remains rich to the core because of solid performances, fascinating cinematography and an ability to not be excessive with the emotional factor. Robert Redford and Kristin Scott Thomas act as the main characters in this film, who both give performances worthy of the film's gold, dream- like personality. Watching The Horse Whisperer is like watching a dream with the beautiful scenery, cinematography and soundtrack to back it up. This film is what they call a good one. I suggest you go see it, you'll like it a lot more than you'll expect.
Corinna Bee one of the best films for me, I watch it each time with the same enthusiasm as the last and each time I see something new. Amazing. For various personal reasons I love this film. The acting from all, the story itself, the fact that Tom Booker doesn't quite engage on the telephone to the Annie, I thought he was rather shallow ie we are in Montana and I am not interested in anywhere else. Annie's sole commitment to healing the horse, whatever it takes, her pain and patience, the latter sometimes diminishing due to emotions. Scarlet excellent from beginning to end, the pain of her friend tragically dying, her horse being ill and near to death. I like Robert's ways, but prefer Tom. I watch this film at least once a month.
