Laikals The greatest movie ever made..!
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
Myron Clemons A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Payno I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Michael Ledo I have seen one other film in the AP series, and I am not very pleased with the movies. Now to set the record straight I love teenage sex comedies. However, a boy making love to a PB&J is not in my realm of humor. Toss in a dog and his brother filming the event and I am out the door. The movie missed a golden opportunity in The Book of Love. It attempted to reunite certain characters from the past to the present. We had Booger, from the classic "Revenge of the Nerds" as a teacher and Rosanna Arquette from "Amazon Women on the Moon." This should have been a parade of champions from past teenage sex comedies, instead we just get a few to tempt us.Nudity, sexual situations and non-stop crude sex language. Degrading to women, men, and dogs. Funny at times but not worth the coin.
overlord_olsen Q: How many scenes with bare tits did we have on the number 6 of the American Pie squeeze-out? A: ehrm, five, mister money-making producer. Then make it seven in this thing! And make up something that can justify that we call it American pie!And so it were. A truckload of breasts (not bad for a teen movie, I must it. And I'm glad to see how they parted from the apparent"silicone only"-track from the earlier movies). And some vague connection to the infamous "Book of Love" and Jim's farther, the untireable Eugene Levy. But what a weak film. Not worthy of the name, I must say. The laughs are all of the over-the-top style, which is very different from the earlier films, which were much more embarrassment-based, thus creating laughs alongside with building sympathy for the main characters. This is completely lost, and makes for 1 ½ hours + with seldom laughs and characters you don't care about. Even spiked with a load of boobs, it's a cocktail not worth drinking.
mrkangaroo999 I won't talk about the dreadful plot, just talk about why this movie is so bad. Just stick to AP, AP2, AP3TW, APTR, as those are the only decent (and true) American Pie movies. This movie was terrible, and it seems like the writers wanted to show off their sexual knowledge, rather than focusing on actual humour. The only real American Pie character in this movie is Noah Levenstein(Jim's Dad), portrayed by Eugene Levy. I don't like this movie one bit, despite being a massive comedy fan. The original, proper American Pie movies are far superior, and even The Naked Mile was better than this piece of-(insert profanity). If you know what's best for you, stay away from this.
jacob-l-williams I didn't have high hopes for American Pie Book Of Love when I watched it, however I did expect like Naked Mile and Band Camp to be mildly amused for an hour and a half and for it to have a least some originality. However after the opening ten minutes I knew I had made a bad decision, the acting was horrible and all the jokes where either stolen from a previous American Pie film or just completely ridiculous... what is amusing about someone being raped by a moose? or killing an old lady? The acting however was probably the worst part, with all the leads being so terrible that I won't even bother to look up their names, the stand out performance was by Louisa Lytton who comes from Eastenders, she had about ten lines but I was surprised how well she pulled off her character. If you like unfunny, ridiculous, regenerated comedy then watch this film, however if you like funny and original (at the time) comedy watch the first American Pie or American Pie 2 as both of these are far far superior to the newest addition which barely deserves the American Pie name.3/10
