TrueJoshNight Truly Dreadful Film

Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Platypuschow Isolation opens with a woman getting her hand bitten while having it up a cow's bottom. I immediatly wondered if this was the inspiration for Teeth (2007).Essentially it's a creature feature but a truly disgusting one that lingers long after you've watched it and for all the wrong reasons. It tells the story of a farmer who allows his farm to be used for various unexplained experiments but as they always do in movies it all go terribly wrong. And so begins the bloody stomach churning unpleasantness involving parasites, fetus's and lots of lots of usage of that horrible spike gun thing they use to put animals down.Isolation would have been better if it didn't make me want to projectile vomit every 10 minutes. To be clear horror is my genre and I by no means have a weak constitution but there is just something about this film that didn't sit right. The Good:OriginalThe Bad:NOT one for animal loversUncomfortable viewingThings I Learnt From This Movie:Making gypsys protagonists is a dumb ideaThis film is another stepping stone towards me stopping eating meat
Flow I'm only writing this comment because I was tricked by all the over-the-top positive this movie has here, on IMDb and after seeing it, I was deeply, deeply disappointed!I can't exactly explain how come all the comments are praising this one, maybe its viewers are a little under the age of 12 or maybe the people involved in the making of the film decided that their job turned out quite nicely and must let the world know about it. But they are wrong, so wrong! What is there to see ? It's extremely slowed paced, most unoriginal subject possible, the camera work seems a little rough and the so called creature, well now that was playing dumb right there. How can you honestly be "scared to death" or in a "permanent fear" like those above me said they were, when you see a 3 inches bone of a monster that kills you by jumping on your face and, well I guess, shaking itself till you DIE! Till you die?? Hehe...yes! Aw and also, it's one of those movies with a twist, yeah, only that the twist is practically spelled out to you since the 40th minute and after that you need to wait about an hour more to act surprised. SURPRISE!!Therefore, do yourself a favor: DO NOT WATCH IT! I could say that you can do a WHOLE LOT WORSE than this one, but that would only make me a big liar, like those who said the movie is great...
ThornIs Another killer fetus movie... I swear I don't look for them , they just seem to find me. This time it's a cow fetus. Just run with it... cause if you do you'll find a little dark movie that's pretty well made. It's got the whole science will create something that will destroy you plot, but of course this time it's Irish. The Irish have had some problems with tainted beef so this might tap into some subconscious fear. I don't know. Some people have complained that this film gets a lot of ideas from other films, but what they are forgetting that in every case those "other" films also got their ideas from other films. I won't go into it cause I'm going to make a spoiler free review, but lets just say you've seen everything in here before. The movie is kind of like going to a dinner party where you already know all the ingredients before going. The movie has got that gritty, independent feel, where most scenes are too dark to see anything, but if that is what your looking for then it's all good. It is probably too griming looking and that could get a little distracting.Everything is solid, some good acting, good gore, good suspense etc. Characters a little lame, but the actors make it work. You barely get even a glimpse at the monster, though I prefer that in a film like this. Not really a lot to say about this one. It is a good, short movie to watch by yourself late at night.Though I should warn you though, if you are spoiled with movies made for millions upon millions of dollars this one may ultimately disappoint you.
Cablebot3000 Isolation is a very odd horror/thriller, but it works. The storyline isn't the best (animal experiment gone wrong), but its doable. The thing that makes the movie pretty good is the characters, suspense, and fear of the unknown. The actors are not well known, but they are good, they make it a lot more believable. Also, they act in a realistic manner, which also really helped. Over all its a great suspense film. Yes, the idea as a whole is pretty trite and corny, but the director made it work into something good. Its a good above average horror/thriller that is actually pretty underrated. I rate this 7/10. Rated R for violence/gore, language and a scene of sexuality
