videorama-759-859391 The overlong Club Dread is certainly something different, a combination of comedy that doesn't always work, and underestimated gore. One plus of course is the hot Brittany Daniel, but overall this comedy/psycho/horror thriller just sets itself at that really bad standard, and mate, do you get your gore's worth. As a thriller, the film really works, with many a suspect, but you've got everything you want here, where sometimes these low denominator films do have great appeal. Horror freaks of trashy films, you'll be right at home at home here on an island of love, romance and homicidal killings, for who is the really sick puppy committing these hideous mutilations. With barely a run at one S.A. cinema, here's one of the worst films of 2004, with addictive appeal and rightly so.

adi_2002 A group of party peoples arrives by boat on an island also called "Pleasure Island" in order to have fun, drink beer, smoke, getting high and have sex. They all seems to enjoy themselves until some of the teens are chased and killed by a masked man. Now some of them form a team and tries of defend from the killer to get away from the island alive but it hard because they don't have any idea who might be the killer so they can't trust nobody. Will they get away or they will be catch by the mysterious killer? Club Dread it's a horror with funny moment but not quite an comedy. Some of the kills are gory and the scene at the end is overmuch (for the Uncut version). You could watch this one day, not give it too much importance and it will not be a total waste of time.

callanvass Clearly I am not one for Broken Lizard's stuff. There certainly seems to be audience for this stuff, but I am obviously not apart of this audience. From the rather dubious opening which was filled with sexual tension (not that I mind!) It was just the way it was done. I cannot believe Bill Paxton was apart of this crud. This is the guy who had the hilarious turn in True Lies; one of the best character actors of all time in my opinion, and he's relegated himself to this? Why Bill. Why?! The best thing about this movie is probably the gore. It has a decent amount of bloodshed, but one crucial error. IT LACKS LAUGHS! That is why you made this movie, right guys?Final Thoughts: This was terrible in my opinion. This is not worth the mediocrity you will go through. Give it a miss3/10

DeadHeroNZ This is possibly one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I loved Super Troopers and had high hopes for this film too but was sadly disappointed. The real sad thing is that I was high when I watched it and still didn't laugh and thats saying something. If you can't make pot smokers laugh then you should stop trying to make funny movies. I understand that they were not trying to make a high class movie, that much I get but come on stupid wigs and crap accents do not make for a funny movie. Let's just hope whatever kind of movie they chance their hand at next is at least written better than this stinking pile of excrement, shame on you Broken Lizard, shame on you. With saying that, at least it had some nudity. :)
