Konterr Brilliant and touching
Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Red_Identity Well, no one can accuse Bryan Fuller of not being whimsical and fantastical. Comparing this to Dead Like Me, in first impressions, the later seems to have more of an emotional impact, but this show was more consistent as a package than either Dead Like Me or Pushing Daisies. It's very much a worthy addition to his filmography in of his TV shows. Caroline Dhavernas is truly superb in this, she has the right mixture of pathos and comedy fused in with sarcasm and drama. She finds the perfect center, such a joy that she was able to go to Hannibal. Overall, this is a really good little series that I hope continues to grow in fanbase with the years.
prashamsa21 To be honest I did not like the show at the start. But then I realized that I am like Jane and then I started loving the show. I get why Jane is the way she is.. indifferent and skeptic, but then she really cares about Eric even though she does not want him to know it. And the whole part of their relationship was just heartbreaking. This was the best part of the show for me. Jane- I'm damaged, and it's gonna take me time to heal probably longer than I can guess. Eric- Which is why I think we should absolutely have a date. Jane- What? Eric- You know, a date. Jane- I know what a date is. You're not talking about the fruit, are you? .... Jane- Why would you want to get involved with anything potentially as messy and complicated as... well, me? Eric- Because you make me happy.
imdb-17918 Want a quirky, well done single season show? This is it.Twists and wrinkles that keep one guessing about light situations that sometimes enter the level of serious philosophy. The actors were all unknown to me, but surely work together to make the relationships work. Writing is straight forward and well timed dialog. Scenes are simple and well set. Each episode is complete, but the series MUST be seen in order to keep the basic relationships clear and meaningful.I suggest this series for all ages. The main characters are in their twenties, but the parents who are interesting in that they have three grownup kids that still hang near home. Worked for this 58 year old male.
MelJJ123 It's so rare to find a WOW show on TV. Especially a WOW with heart, wit, and ion! And that was Wonderfalls. I stumbled upon this amazing show by pure accident (or was it :) I had not heard about it when it was originally on FOX, but then I don't really get involved in many new shows these days. Anyway, during a night of channel surfing and multi-tasking I stopped momentarily on a random cable station. I can't even say that I was paying attention to the TV, but for some reason, within a few minutes of having it on in the background, I found myself drawn into what I would later learn was: Wonderfalls! I thought to myself... wow, what is this show?! It's quirky, it's refreshingly different, I strangely liked the characters immediately! Afterwards, I wrote down the name of the show, did a little research and surprisingly learned that Wonderfalls had its own little cult following. (Very much deserved btw). Now, I don't normally... or ever, buy a TV series on DVD... especially for a show that i've only seen 1 episodes of.. but after that one little taste of Wonderfalls, I had the distinct feeling that I would and could be hooked. Well fast forward months later, and having just finished watching the entire series on DVD, I can honestly say that I loved every single episode, and I'm really sad it's over! I thought the writing was strikingly smart, the characters were all portrayed brilliantly, and the chemistry between Jaye and Eric -- just spark after spark after spark! I'm convinced that this show could have been a huge hit with proper marketing and scheduling. Quality doesn't come around often, but this was the real deal. What a WASTE. If you haven't seen it yet, buy the DVD!
