Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
ReaderKenka Let's be realistic.
Konterr Brilliant and touching
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
nachtlager-10229 The whole Series has no real chance outside of US. In core, its has the Thypical US Publick Censorship. It mirrows the generell Whish of Brutal Series and Games... What does that means? It comes with much extreme Bloody scenes. Only, what is Typical in US.... you can show dozens of killings... NO Problem. But Hell!! Dont ever thing about to show a bit too much Body interaction too close. And there, where is no needed in the Age Rating comes a censorship, what is totally Bullshit! Only to get it ed through Programm Directors without really trouble.Typical way... Old TV Movie.. pushed and overworked as Series... Adding much Erotic things what whould normally shown everywhere already at 22 PM Evening latest, if not already earlier. Because Typicel here... Blood yess. But hell stay at the complete NO Go dont show EVER Genitals! That gives everyone a nightmare... . And exactly here, US falls back into TV Middle Age.There even Spartacus AND Game of Thrones are MUCH MUCH farer. This way.. to keep at least in this way People on watching, the Series failes and cant hold Audience. Because rest becomes complete boring. Too much one sided. For the core story, Audience is fast at the part of Skippng time and even Episodes.. because doesnt matter, what comes.. its mostly the same only bit different shown.
RealReviewer1981 Garbage . Shows nude male butts but censors females? Wooow smh.
brad_laces This series is written "as if" it was produced in the 1970s-1980s about a dystopian future in 1999. Each episode is a homage to a different type of grind-house film, and part of the fun is figuring out which genre is parodied in each episode. The actors are fresh and exciting. The script is full of sex - the series uses small black boxes to cover what cannot be shown on cable TV. And blood. Lots of blood. As it is a written as if it was made in the 1970s, the characters show little fear of HIV/AIDS or other pathogens that could be in all of the blood (or other bodily fluids) that splatter about. There is a phone number which you can call and a complaint about the series. The series also has parody advertising. It is one of the most creative and boundary-breaking science fiction TV shows in a long time.
kyleweisnj Wow, I'm already in love in the middle of the pilot. Anyone bitching about this being the "lowest point of television, yadda-yadda..." has clearly no f---ing clue what a grindhouse flick is. Basically this show is the group sex lovechild of Carmageddon, Fast&Furious, Evil dead, Mad Max, '80s buddy-cop movies, Vampire the Masquerade LARP, Judge Dredd and literally everything Rob Zombie ever made. It's an over the top caricature of a distopia, and it doesn't want to be more than that. But AT that, it excels. Hear me out. The basics of the genere are there: 35mm/VHS quality, gore, overacting, etc. But the subtle stuff is where it all comes together: the music, camera, atmosphere is remarkably well done. So if you've ever seen a grindhouse flick, and thought "F--k, It's dumb, hilarious and awesome at the same time", you will love Blood drive. And that scene where the race starts, and Skillet's "Back from the dead" starts to play... I had to rewind it three times, because it's f---ing magnificent.
