Interesteg What makes it different from others?
Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Sarita Rafferty There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
Gavin Venter On it's own it's not even worth watching. Horrible writing, piss poor research. Got what it deserved.
mariangella This whole series is an insult to anyone who has an ounce of intelligence. The disrespect for all things not American is awful, just awful. No dear Americans, you are not the sheriffs of the whole world. You cannot go to other countries with weapons and have any jurisdictions whatsoever. Why would any country allow you to do to ANYTHING anyway? Is it because everybody is incompetent but you?How is this spin off-abomination of an excellent show still on air, is beyond me.
ji8464 Well, I just read all the previous reviews and It seems that I agree with the vast majority of them.It is actually preposterous that anybody would believe that any country in the world would actually give up on their own police forces and justice systems so that the FBI could come in and take over and show the world how to do it. I have watched all of the episodes and I think that each one becomes more ludicrous than the last. The latest episode set in Singapore nearly takes the cake, this is a country with an unbelievably stringent the legal system and one of the lowest amounts of major criminal activity in the world, yet we are expected to believe that more murders are committed in a 24 hour period than in the previous 6 months. The the condescending attitude of these awesome Americans to locals in countries around the world goes more to how Americans are perceived than anything else. Why would the medical examiner just accept that the American medical person on this team would be better than her, why does the inspector does not accept that he could find the perpetrator, how the hell does Alana De La Graza know every single language in the world and every single local custom but is caught working for a pathetic team in the FBI. It is so implausible that I spend half of each episode laughing my head off.Don't even get me started on the acting (or lack thereof), I really enjoy the original Criminal minds but this is an insult to its legacy. All this does is reinforce the fact that the American TV Industry thinks that every other country in the world is third world and even in that they are not consistent. Let's portray every other country as backward but meanwhile we can access the greatest WiFi connections that exist with no buffering no matter where they are, and we can also access every single piece of communication in every country and the blueprints of every single building ever build. The more you think about it the more you realize how much rubbish it really is.
fruitbat00 Got to say I was not a fan of the parent show. I gave it a try but just never got into it. This came along and I have always ired Mr Sinise so I thought I would give it a go. I watched the entire season willing it to convince me it was worth my time. It didn't. The episodes ranged from okay to bad to insulting. Now this was ALWAYS going to be a hard sell, because we know they are NEVER going to leave the back lot of L.A. They wont be filming in Thailand, Egypt or South Africa. And sorry to say it shows, big time. Some of the sets are so obvious its cringe making. This detracts from the stories and spoils the overall feel of the show.Added to the obvious L.A. back lot feel there is the cultural clichés that are insulting. This isn't a show about other cultures this is a show about Americans basically pointing out they are far superior to everyone else. So much so that they need to send in their own police to help the poor inept, corrupt, bumbling police forces of the world. And that everywhere outside the U.S. is dangerous. Well look to your own backyard America. This is insulting TV and insulting narrative to the countries portrayed so far. The U.S. TV industry has a very poor record when it comes to portraying other cultures. I was hoping this would be different that it would be an intelligent and up to date look at world crime fighting and law enforcement co-operation. And yes in some instances non co operation. But to be honest even in the shows where there was co operation it was still condescending. It is very poorly researched with multiple errors and plot holes. And visually does a very bad job of convincing you they have set foot outside of California. No fault of the cast, I liked them all, but this is not worth the air time.I am very surprised it is back for a second season. As much as I love Mr Sinise I will not be watching.I really can't understand how some far superior shows were cancelled and yet this substandard offering made it to a second season.
